Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, ensures that all eligible individuals can benefit from federally funded or federally guaranteed financial assistance for education beyond high school.

Federal Student Aid plays a central and essential role in supporting postsecondary education. We partner with postsecondary schools, financial institutions and other participants in the Title IV student financial assistance programs to deliver services that help students finance their education beyond high school.

Tulsa Community College is offering tuition-free, non-credit classes for high school students who would like to know more about preparing for the ACT and how to apply and to prepare for college. Call 595-7566 to enroll.

BURGER KING will award 700 scholarships for $1,000 each. Requirements: 2.5 gpa, work part-time at least 15 hours per week, and community or volunteer service. On-line applications only beginning October 15 at www.bk.com/scholars

Juniors and Seniors, and their families, are invited to the 1st annual Homecoming Celebration at Rogers State University in Claremore on Saturday, Nov. 10th, from 9:30 am to Noon.  Students who have pre-registered will receive a campus tour, apply for a scholarship, attend a free tailgate lunch and receive a free RSU Homecoming t-shirt.  Call 343-7546 to register, or email pollard@rsu.com.

 

AXA Achievement Foundation (Equitable Insurance Company) will award 10 scholarships for $25,000 each and 42 scholarships for $10,000 each. On-line applications only. www.axa-achievement.com Due: December 15.

The Junior League of Tulsa will award two scholarships for $1,500 each to female seniors. Recipients will be selected on the basis of volunteerism and community service. On-line applications only available in January at www.jltulsa.org or call Carey Baker at 496-7882.
